As every year at Finques Feliu we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

During the last week of one year and the first week of the next one, there is a unique atmosphere that sweeps: optimism, expectations and good intentions. It is no coincidence that the word "Christmas" comes from the Latin "natalis" which means day of birth and, although this etymology is extremely linked to religious tradition, it is also true that beyond religion many people interpret this time of year as the opportunity to "be reborn".

However, as will happen next year, South Korea will take the opportunity to rethink the age of its citizens. Specifically, it will unify the three systems with which, until now, it counted the age of its citizens. And there is no place where it is so complex to answer: "how old are you? The reason is the validity of the millennia-old Chinese age calculation system.

This gives one year to each child born because it counts the time of pregnancy or, even two in the case of coming into the world on December 31 because every 1st of January they complete years (then to the year of birth is added the additional year completed on the end of the month, that is, the day of the new year).
